Presentation:  1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Reception:  4:00 p.m.

Discussion of issues and the status of:

Limited Scope Representation:  What does this mean?  What does the court think it means?
Mediation by Lawyers:  Yes, lawyer mediators can now draft orders.  So what?  What has changed and what is expected of them?
JUDGES LIVE!  What do they really think?  What do they disagree on?  What do they agree on?

Attorneys Susan Hansen and Paul Stenzel (also a Family Court Commissioner in Racine County) will discuss ideas and tools of limited scope representation as well as the recent Supreme Court rule changes and drafting rule requirements relating to mediation by lawyers.  Presiding Family Court Judge Michael Dwyer will provide commentary.

This will be followed by a panel of Family Court judges and court commissioners who will share thoughts on what limited scope representation means to the courts and expectations of the courts regarding lawyer mediators drafting agreements for pro se parties.  Moderated Richard Hart will facilitate the discussion of the judicial officers and will take questions from the audience regarding these topics and other topics of interest including e-filing, how to calculate the two year truce period, and how the courts handle De Novo reviews and requests for attorney fees.

The program will be followed by a reception where conversations can continue.
