Free CLE Credits!

The University of Wisconsin Mock Trial Program is honored to host the Texas Young Trial Lawyers (TYLA) Regional Mock Trial Competition on February 19-21, 2016.  Twenty-four teams from throughout the Midwest will be in Madison to compete for the opportunity to represent their law school in the National Competition.   The Mock Trial program needs your help.  We will need almost 200 judges to make this competition successful.
The competition will take place at the Dane County Courthouse, and each trial will last approximately three hours.  We will give you all of the information and training you need to judge the competition – you don’t need trial experience!  You can either be a scoring judge, or if you have trial experience, you can be a presiding judge.  This is a wonderful opportunity to earn up to four free CLE credits and to work with law students eager for feedback from practicing attorneys and judges.

The trials will take place on the following dates and times.

Friday, February 19 – 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 20 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, February 20 – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 21 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Sunday, February 21 – 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

If you are able to judge, please email Kim Peterson ( or contact her at 608-262-6097.  Thank you for your help!
